Overview

WHO are we looking for?

 

CAPTRUST is seeking Retirement Plan Advisors to serve and grow a $1 million+ institutional consulting practice in multiple markets.  The Financial Advisor role is responsible for building and servicing a practice of retirement plan clients including, qualified plan sponsors, fiduciaries, key executives in nonqualified plans and plan participants – to include 401(k), 403(b), defined benefit, and nonqualified plans. For defined contribution clients, we seek the “mid-market” which we define as plans of $25 to $500 million in assets.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and close new client relationships (at least $150,000 in new contracted revenue per year)
  • Deliver sales presentations and finals to individuals and committees
  • Set prospect meetings; a minimum of three per week
  • Cross-sell additive CAPTRUST services to existing clients (e.g. discretionary services)
  • Develop relationships with COIs and other referral sources
  • Provide fiduciary advice to existing client relationships
  • Conduct and document quarterly portfolio and plan reviews
  • Provide education and advice programs for plan participants
  • Travel is required

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required; major in Business Administration, Marketing or Finance preferred
  • 5 years of direct selling experience in the financial service industry
     

Desired Qualifications/Skills:

  • Exceptional oral and written communications skills
  • High standard of professionalism
  • Looking to develop a long-term career in the investment/financial services industry
  • Able to work independently
  • Securities licenses series 65, 66, 7
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel
  • Client Relationship Management (CRM) software experience

Compensation

 

Long term and unlimited based on production!  To start, salary range $92,000 to $138,000 (plus bonus) depending on experience and geography.  Assuming acceptable performance, salary will likely be maintained for two years as practice grows. Salary replaced by payout on production in year three. Long-term, the upside opportunities are at the top of the financial services industry – including equity ownership.
