WHO are we looking for?

CAPTRUST Lone Tree seeks a dynamic Financial Planner who will work with other advisors and staff members (we have a team-based approach) to lead and support client relationships to provide world-class service. A competitive salary plus bonus, depending on experience, and expanding responsibilities with a rapidly growing firm are offered for this role.

Initial review will begin within 3 days of the job opening and will be open until filled. 

Client Facing Responsibilities:

• Prepare and propose items of discussion, financial planning issues, and recommendations for client review meetings
• Attend client meetings with/without Senior Advisor as appropriate
• Manage client meeting follow-up items and action items with clients and outside advisors if necessary
• Maintain frequent communications with clients between meetings

Financial Planning Responsibilities:

• Effectively use eMoney platform and/or other software tools to create and update financial projections
• Collaborate with other advisors to develop appropriate financial recommendations for clients
• Develop and maintain an area of planning expertise – for example: Estate Planning, Insurance, Social Security, etc.

Investment Management Responsibilities:

• Effectively communicate our investment strategy and recommendations to clients
• Participate in meetings with research partners and mutual fund wholesalers
• Work with other advisors to develop suitable portfolio recommendations for individual clients
• Support portfolio management team with rebalancing/realignment of portfolios

Professional Development Responsibilities:

• Attend industry conferences related to financial planning and/or investment management to hone skills and stay current with financial education and industry trends

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher
• Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) designation or CFP® track preferred
• 5+ years of relevant work experience

• Enjoys direct and personal interactions with clients
• Interest in longer term firm career advancement opportunity as a Senior Wealth Advisor 
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent computer skills, including MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Familiarity with Financial Planning Software (eMoney preferred)
• Well-developed interpersonal skills
• Exceptional organizational skills
• Effective time management skills; ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment while prioritizing independent tasks and meeting aggressive deadlines
• Ability to effectively report to several professionals on a large variety of tasks and manage priorities amid an often-heavy volume of work

Salary range: $80,000 - $120,000
