Overview

WHO are we looking for?

 

An energetic Trust Administrator Relationship Manager who will deliver high-level customer service to clients of the firm.  The Trust Administrator Relationship Manager will join an established wealth management team to manage all aspects of trust administration for its clients.  A competitive salary is offered for this role as well as expanding responsibilities with a rapidly growing firm. The position is located in the greater Boston, MA area. 

Responsibilities

  • Perform an administrative review of all distribution transactions made from irrevocable trusts to ensure proper tax codes and descriptions are used
  • Assist with the calculation of UPIA or total return payouts for applicable irrevocable trusts
  • Work with the Wealth Manager and Estate & Financial Planning group to prepare discretionary distribution request forms to be presented to the Fiduciary Committee
  • Manage the 65-day distribution calculation process as well as payments to beneficiaries for applicable irrevocable trusts
  • Manage the process for fiduciary tax payments & estimates
  • Assist with the estate settlement process in the distribution of trusts to sub-trusts or beneficiaries
  • Monthly review of principal and income balances for all irrevocable trusts to ensure net income is being distributed appropriately
  • Ensure all trust documents, amendments, resignations are maintained in the CAPTRUST document management system
  • Process trustee changes at custodians as required and update the CAPTRUST CRM

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years’ experience in trust administration

Desired Qualifications/Skills:

  • CTFA, CFP or paralegal certification preferred
  • Capable of understanding and interpreting trust documents is required
  • Prior work experience at a registered investment advisor is a plus
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong commitment to outstanding customer service
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office 365
  • Prioritization and organizational skills, multi-task skills, able to manage many time-sensitive tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to delegate tasks and projects to others within the organization, to follow up as appropriate, and to work in a team environment
