Overview

WHO are we looking for?

 

CAPTRUST is seeking a Financial Advisor Retirement Counselor who will be responsible for building and managing a holistic wealth management practice that serves the ongoing and ever-changing needs of its clients. They will provide deep financial planning advice around life goals, investment management solutions and risk management. The Financial Advisor will work primarily with retirement plan participants, corporate executives, individual investors, families, and business owners to help them achieve their short and long-term goals. Primary responsibilities may include the following, among others:

Responsibilities

  • Provide financial planning and education to retirement plan participants and executives
  • Conduct educational retirement and financial planning presentations to retirement plan participants through webinar and in-person sessions
  • Coordinate and manage participant advice engagements within corporate clientele
  • Identify, establish, develop, and manage new wealth client relationships
  • Provide ongoing financial planning and investment management services
  • Conduct regular, ongoing planning and portfolio reviews
  • Develop relationships with referral sources, centers of influence, and external partners
  • Limited to moderate travel required
  • Develop new business to the firm in the form of new client relationships and by expanding existing client relationships to achieve annual goals

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Professional License required (65,6,7)
  • Certified Financial Planner CFP®, Charter Financial Consultant ChFC® or other advanced credentials required
  • 4+ years of related industry experience; wealth management, financial planning, and investment vehicles
  • Skilled and experienced in financial planning software including eMoney

Desired Qualifications/Skills:

  • Strong communications skills including public speaking in group settings
  • Strong interpersonal skills; including being polished, courteous, professional, and patient
  • Strong organizational skills (ability to manage multiple tasks, adapt to changing priorities, and meet deadlines and manage expenses)
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, Access, GAP analysis tools and vendor website navigation
