Overview

WHO are we looking for?

 

CAPTRUST is growing, and we are seeking a Financial Planner to join our team. The Financial Planner will work closely with experienced Financial Planners and Financial Advisors to improve productivity and the quality of services provided to clients, and must fit within our culture of integrity, teamwork, and putting clients’ interests first. Primary responsibilities may include the following, amongst others:

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate client meetings, including scheduling, collecting client information, and inputting that information into financial planning software and other pertinent systems
  • Attend investment and wealth management client review meetings
  • Prepare for client meetings (solo or with senior advisors) by seeking centralized resources and expertise
  • Explain and implement relevant financial planning strategies, investment strategies, and other topical information to clients
  • Maintain detailed documentation of client meetings and tasks, and proactively identify and coordinate any action needed with the team
  • Assist with new client proposals, and prepare information to support conversations with prospective clients
  • Input client data into financial planning software and analyze that data to identify planning strategies applicable to the client’s situation
  • Work directly with Financial Advisors to develop and implement wealth planning strategies for clients
  • Perform ad hoc wealth planning topic research for Financial Advisors

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of relevant experience
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university preferably in a Finance Related field with an emphasis on financial planning

Desired Qualifications/Skills:

  • Certified Financial Planner® designation or ability and desire to obtain
  • Expert skill level in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Ability to quickly learn new computer programs and processes
  • High level of organization and attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to manage multiple reporting relationships
  • Strong communication skills
  • Outstanding client service skills
  • Team player, collaborative, able to work with others
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics CRM software a plus
  • Experience with project management or process improvement a plus
