Overview

WHO are we looking for?

 

A dynamic, energetic Financial Planning Associate will assist Wealth Advisors in the creation of complex and comprehensive financial projections for clients and prospective clients. The ideal candidate for this role will possess outstanding critical thinking skills, be able to work independently, and anticipate needs from Wealth Advisors and respond accordingly. The successful candidate will join an established wealth management and institutional advisory team in providing independent advice and customized service to clients and prospects.  A competitive salary is offered for this role as well as expanding responsibilities with a rapidly growing firm. 

Responsibilities

  • Collect, organize, and synthesize personal and financial client information 
  • Construct financial and retirement projections using Money Guide Pro 
  • Assist Wealth Advisors in analysis of estate plans, retirement plans, tax planning, and insurance needs 
  • Participate in client meetings and support Wealth Advisors in capturing client requests via meeting notes and delivering follow-up planning strategies 
  • Create deliverables for client engagements 
  • Coordinate planning recommendations and implementation with outside professionals 
  • Continuously monitor clients’ financial situations with detail and accuracy with CRM and other technology tools 
  • Be available to field ad-hoc planning questions from clients 
  • Conduct research projects on recent developments in the wealth management industry 

 

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

 

  • Ability to obtain financial services licensing (Series 65/66)
  • Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) designation, CFP® track, or desire to obtain within 1-2 years post hire
  • Strong proficiency utilizing Microsoft Office products
  • Four-year college degree in business, preferably with an emphasis in Finance or Accounting

  • Demonstrated passion for the Financial Planning profession 
  • Excels with organization and structure yet is a creative thinker 
  • Strong financial and analytical skills 
  • Strong persuasive and interpersonal skills 
  • Ability to identify, meet and follow through with client needs and requirements 
  • Must be a self-starter, problem solver and a goal-oriented team player
  • Able to work independently 
  • Organized, with a strong attention to detail 
  • Able to perform multiple tasks efficiently 
  • Show confidence when dealing with clients and the Wealth Advisors 
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite 
  • Experience with Money Guide Pro, Charles Schwab custodial platform, and Redtail CRM a plus
