Overview

WHO are we looking for?

 

CAPTRUST is seeking a Product Associate for the Portfolio Solutions & Trading Division who will support the daily operations of IBOR (Investment Book of Records) maintenance, ensuring the accuracy of data, transactions, and positions for Portfolio Management and other downstream consumers of IBOR data and provide end user support and training for an evolving Portfolio Solutions & Trading Division’s tech stack. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within a supportive team environment. Primary responsibilities may include the following, among others:

Responsibilities

  • Support all aspects of trading tools, including escalation support, data review, and ensuring accurate reconciliation on trades generated by rebalancer tools
  • Timely and accurately resolve any reconciliation breaks to maintain the continuity of trading workflows and lifecycle
  • Ensure securities are assigned appropriate attributes, corporate actions are processed correctly
  • Ensure new clients and accounts are accurately onboarded and configured in the system with appropriate attributes and connections
  • Assist in establishing new custodial data feeds
  • Conduct training sessions for new users
  • Resolve any functionality issues and support requests from end users
  • Identify process issues/challenges and drive organizational change through the development of creative and scalable solutions
  • Support relationships with custodians, brokers, and other service providers
  • Participate in testing new functionality for technology projects
  • Work closely with Investment Management, Operations, Portfolio Management, Technology and other CAPTRUST teams

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Completion of a four-year college degree: Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or Management Information Systems
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in investment operations

Desired Qualifications/Skills:

  • Advanced proficiency in using Excel and its various features and functions to manipulate and present data in both tabular and visual (graphical) formats. Familiarity with working with extremely large data sets
  • Excellent project management, organization and prioritization skills; ability to manage many time-sensitive tasks simultaneously
  • Well-organized, detail oriented and strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Hard-working and eager to learn in a highly intellectual, collaborative environment and a desire to help grow an evolving platform
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team under pressure in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Ability to work across multiple geographic regional offices
  • Experience documenting business processes and workflows
  • Experience working in either a trading or custodial operational/back-office role, working at RIA a plus
  • Knowledge of custodian platforms used by RIAs (e.g., Fidelity, Schwab, Pershing)
  • Knowledge of trading and rebalancing tools, including Advent, redblack, Black Diamond and Charles River. Knowledge of additional systems (e.g., PowerBi, EZE, Factset, Morningstar) a plus
