Overview

WHO are we looking for?

 

CAPTRUST is seeking a Tax Associate who will prepare individual, partnership, fiduciary and corporate tax returns. The Tax Associate’s primary responsibility is to prepare tax returns and participate in client tax services within a dedicated team.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares individual, partnership, fiduciary and corporate tax returns as part of a team approach to client service
  • Analyzes and resolves basic client tax issues using sound judgment based on experience
  • Updates client files and records as appropriate
  • Prepares quarterly estimated tax calculations and year-end tax projections
  • Performs other tax services as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting from an accredited university or equivalent years of working experience
  • 1-3 years current public accounting experience including individual, partnership, fiduciary and corporate taxation

Desired Qualifications/Skills:

  • Actively working towards CPA certification
  • Working knowledge of federal, state, and local income tax laws
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, tax preparation, and research software
