Overview

WHO are we looking for?

CAPTRUST is seeking a Wealth Financial Advisor who will meet with our qualified prospects, determine goals and objectives, build a financial plan, and then communicate initial recommendations.  Once the prospect decides to engage our firm, the relationship is passed to a Wealth Manager.  This individual would also spend time speaking at events for prospects.

This is the ideal role for a CFP® professional who is comfortable with new client onboarding/acquisition but does not want to have to market or find leads.  The firm has a healthy lead flow through its multi-faceted marketing efforts.  The Wealth Advisor is responsible for the initial financial planning and onboarding of clients but does not have to do any ongoing service work.  The Wealth Advisor’s ultimate objective is to help grow the firm by extending that extraordinary service to prospective clients.  Primary responsibilities may include the following, among others:

Responsibilities

  • Educate prospective clients on the benefits of working with CAPTRUST
  • Develop and maintain relationships with prospective clients and centers of influence
  • Learn and execute CAPTRUST’s financial planning process with qualified prospects, providing sound recommendations to clients in support of their values, goals, and investment objectives
  • Prepare comprehensive financial plans, including data gathering, analyzing financial conditions, and developing recommendations for HNW clients
  • Work closely with the Wealth Management Team to ensure a seamless and professional hand-off
  • Speak at educational seminars (content provided) and answer attendee questions following the seminars
  • Manage calendar diligently to ensure availability for prospect meetings and schedule own meetings as necessary.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of related industry experience; wealth management, financial planning and investment vehicles, and business development
  • Certified Financial Planner Designation
  • Professional License/Certification required (65,6,7) or willing to obtain

Desired Qualifications/Skills:

  • Knowledge of or exposure to Right Capital, eMoney or similar financial planning software
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including being polished, courteous, professional, and patient
  • Excellent organizational skills such as multi-tasking, adapting priorities, and meeting deadlines
