Overview

WHO are we looking for?

 

The Vendor Analysis Team Senior Specialist is focused on building strategic vendor relationships by interfacing with non-primary vendors, taking ownership of setting and leading due diligence meetings, remediating vendor service escalations among all vendors and cascading information within the team and greater CAPTRUST. The Vendor Analysis Team Senior Specialist will also work with our Financial Advisors, client services professionals, and occasionally directly with firm clients to fulfill service provider fee benchmarking and RFP projects.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the point of contact for non-primary vendor relationships including record keepers, third-party administrators, trustees, and custodians. Responsible for leading non-primary vendor interactions, due diligence meetings, relationship building, information sharing on product updates/roadmap, etc
  • Point of contact for service escalations for all vendor relationships. Act as concierge for escalations through remediation process and provide updates to Lead/Advisor
  • Analyze and benchmark service provider fees for institutional clients/prospects, including record keepers, third-party administrators, trustees, and custodians
  • Scope & fulfill service provider RFP projects for institutional clients/prospects including leading the analysis of service providers suitable for clients/prospects. Meet and correspond with advisors, clients and prospects to present project findings
  • Review deliverables for completeness and accuracy before providing to client services/advisors
  • Maintain knowledge of the vendor landscape including industry trends, changes, M&A activity, best practices, regulatory changes
  • Identify and implement opportunities to enhance or improve the efficiency of team communication/deliverables/operations
  • Contribute to team and firm-level strategic projects

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Completion of a four-year college degree – Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or Accounting preferred or equivalent work experience
  • 8 years of relevant industry experience

Desired Qualifications/Skills:

  • Experience working with defined contribution plans, specifically 401(k) and 403(b) plans
  • Retirement plan/record keeping or procurement experience
  • Project management experience a plus
  • Working knowledge of ERISA guidelines and regulations
  • Industry-related certifications and designations are a plus (examples: FINRA Series 6, 65,63,7, CRPS, AIF, QKA)
  • Significant experience with Microsoft products, especially Excel/PowerPoint
