Overview

WHO are we looking for?

 

CAPTRUST is seeking an experienced Sales Enablement Team Leader to support CAPTRUST’s business development and sales enablement initiatives. This individual will be responsible for leading a team that supports the creation and execution of non-RFP prospect-facing collateral, ensuring advisors are equipped with accurate, compelling, and aligned materials that reflect CAPTRUST’s value proposition and service capabilities.

 

In addition to managing daily team operations, the Team Leader will contribute directly to content development, optimizes team workflows, collaborates closely with cross-functional teams, promotes the adoption of key platforms such as Seismic, and drives sales efficiency and effectiveness by equipping advisors with high-impact, tailored collateral that enhances prospect engagement and win rates. The ideal candidate brings management experience, deep familiarity with CAPTRUST’s service offerings or the financial services/RIA space, strong sales enablement writing skills, and a fluency with sales enablement platforms like Seismic.

Responsibilities

Team Leadership and Management

 

  • Lead and mentor a team of Proposal Coordinators, ensuring effective performance management, prioritization of requests, and timely delivery of high-quality sales collateral
  • Develop and implement team processes that improve efficiency, content accuracy, responsiveness, and continuous improvement to advisor requests
  • Serve as the back-up coordinator when needed to ensure timely and accurate delivery of prospect materials

Sales Enablement and Content Development

 

  • Partner with advisors to understand sales opportunities and ensure the delivery of materials such as event presentations, pitch decks, prospect handouts, firm overviews, case studies, and finalist presentations
  • Consult on best-fit materials, helping advisors navigate available resources and position the firm effectively based on prospect needs
  • Write, edit, and maintain compelling sales enablement collateral that supports business development and articulates CAPTRUST’s capabilities
  • Serve as a key contributor to content planning and messaging for strategic initiatives

Strategic Collaboration and Funnel Integration

  • Collaborate with the RFP team to facilitate seamless handoffs of prospect opportunities through the sales funnel, ensuring consistency of messaging and continuity of support
  • Partner with the broader strategic marketing and sales enablement teams to align initiatives, share insights, and integrate content across key campaigns and business lines
  • Build cross-functional relationships with subject matter experts, compliance, design, and content leads to elevate the quality and impact of prospect-facing materials

Reporting and Metrics

 

  • Track and analyze key performance indicators such as volume and type of requests, collateral usage, turnaround times, advisor satisfaction, and win/loss outcomes
  • Deliver regular reporting to leadership, providing insight into performance, capacity, and opportunities for continuous improvement
  • Identify trends and gaps in collateral usage to inform future content development, best practices, and sales enablement efforts

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Finance, Communications, or related field
  • 2+ years of team leadership or people management experience, including performance coaching and team development
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in proposal coordination, marketing, or business development within the financial services or investment advisory industry
  • Experience with Seismic or equivalent sales enablement systems

Desired Qualifications/Skills:

  • Experience working in a sales enablement function with cross-functional exposure to compliance, design, and marketing teams
  • Familiarity with CAPTRUST’s services and business model and/or the investment advisory industry is strongly preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Dynamics or other CRM systems
  • Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Asana)
  • High attention to detail, accountability, and commitment to quality
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and collaboration skills
  • Professionalism and high emotional intelligence
  • A solutions-oriented mindset with a sense of urgency and adaptability
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines
  • Passion for mentoring others and elevating team performance
