WHO are we looking for?

 

CAPTRUST seeks a dynamic Marketing Associate II to join its in-house marketing communications and creative services team. This team supports corporate marketing, business development, internal communications, and sales and marketing initiatives for a rapidly growing and collaborative organization

 

Overview of Department

 

CAPTRUST’s marketing strategy is a combination of the high-level activities listed below, which are intended to support the firm’s growth efforts and the needs of its clients

  • Targeted and appropriate messaging communicated through automated marketing platforms and applications, media outlets and publications, corporate websites, and presence on social media
  • Creation and support of events designed to establish CAPTRUST, its advisors, and its subject matter experts as thought leaders within appropriate market segments
  • Successful application and delivery of the brand through print and electronic media, as well as in-person events, to create a consistent and world-class experience across all interactions
  • Provision of real-time support for business development opportunities based on market intelligence, historical data and trends, and understanding of the opportunity to ensure a successful outcome

Responsibilities

Design approximately 50% of this individual’s time will be spent on the execution of presentations and print and digital design projects to support CAPTRUST’s sales, marketing, and client service efforts. Adherence to brand and compliance standards and processes is key to this person’s success. Several examples of design projects include:

  • Development or formatting of sales, training, and client-facing PowerPoint presentations and creation of charts and graphs to accompany web or printed content
  • Execution of digital and print ads for industry periodicals, conference programs, and social media and the layout and formatting of fillable forms
  • Design or redesign of email templates for campaigns and the development of client marketing deliverables (one-pagers, holiday cards, etc.)
  • Rebranding of acquisition materials and service suites and development of infographics
  • Creation of materials to support company meetings (Synergy, Advisor Kickoff, Shareholders’ Meeting, etc.)

Marketing Project Management. Approximately 40% of this individual’s time will be spent participating on or managing large and small marketing projects, marketing initiatives, or firm initiatives that support all lines of business. These projects can include a wide variety of roles, topics, and functions. Several examples include:

  • Quarter-end processes and creation of review materials and logistical and design support for internal meetings
  • Execution of participant marketing and business development campaigns and editing and proofing of letters, forms, articles, and web content
  • Coordination of outside vendors and business partners (printer, photographer, AV production company, advertising and media, web host/developer, etc.)

Marketing Administration. The remaining 10% of this individual’s time will be spent on administrative functions for the marketing department. This aspect of the role includes:

  • Documentation and storage of completed marketing projects
  • Processing materials for compliance approval
  • Documentation of key department functions
  • Other administrative duties as necessary

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in design; mastery of key design principles
  • Successfully demonstrated 0-3 years of experience

Desired Qualifications/Skills:

  • High degree of proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office Suite including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
  • Experience initiating and managing design-oriented marketing projects and production, including print (pdf), web, and email
  • Experience with effective information design, being able to make the complex simple and translate the needs of thought leaders
  • Experience with corporate websites, social media, technical writing, external vendor coordination, internal communications, Microsoft CRM, or a finance background a plus
  • A self-starter with the ability to work independently and within a collaborative team environment
  • An individual who can be coached and has a desire to learn
  • Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism
