Overview

WHO are we looking for?

 

CAPTRUST seeks a dynamic Financial Advisor for Retirement Services who will provide high-level service to new and existing institutional investors and clients. A competitive salary is offered for this role as well as excellent career growth potential with an ever-growing firm.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional service as part of a team and become a trusted partner to clients
  • Provide an important client-facing role delivering plan reviews and other presentations virtually
  • Expected to be aware and informed of client needs and provide proactive service to clients
  • Leads client meetings and makes a professional contribution with CFOs, HR department heads, COOs, heads of Treasury functions, company CEOs and other executives of client relationships
  • Provide market overviews, investment performance, and plan/provider topical items for client meetings and as requested by clients and the Senior Advisors
  • Assist with new or existing client conversion/transition process by coordinating the efforts of internal (research, operations, marketing, and participant education) and external business partners Communicate recommendations and the timeline to all stakeholders
  • Expected to continue financial education and stay abreast of industry trends and planning topics

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 10 + years’ experience working in client services for an organization that provides retirement plan services to 403(b) and 401(k) plans
  • Excellent working knowledge of 403(b) and 401(k) retirement plan types. Experience with 457 non-qualified deferred compensation plans is preferred but not required
  • Understanding of retirement plans from an operational perspective (i.e.: daily, balance-forward, bundled, unbundled, alliances, etc.)
  • Excellent knowledge of ERISA guidelines and regulations
  • Series 65 License or attainment within one year of hire date
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Prior experience in servicing not-for-profit organizations and with TIAA as a recordkeeper is an advantage

Desired Qualifications/Skills:

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, ability to communicate information to a technical audience, retirement plan and/or investment committees, and C-suite executives, etc.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office products
  • Strong organizational skills
