Overview

WHO are we looking for?

 

CAPTRUST is seeking an IT Hardware & Integration Technician the technician will provide support for the technology needs of 1800+ employees. Ensure that the technology needs are met through solutions that are well constructed, well communicated, and operating properly. Manage the ticket queues resulting from incoming requests related to IT issues and will provide troubleshooting efforts across the enterprise to ensure a stable and optimized environment. Traveling to remote offices during the M&A process by planning, implementing, and troubleshooting rollouts to ensure new locations are smoothly incorporated into CAPTRUST’s unified infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Administer and support configurations and records of everything end users face, as well as data reporting and cleanup. Endpoints include desktops or laptops, mobile devices, tablets, copiers, and any peripherals for the headquarters office in Raleigh and all remote locations
  • In addition to solving day-to-day issues, you will be responsible for understanding why they occur and providing long-term solutions to prevent them from happening again
  • Assist in the planning and roll out of all technology regarding all acquisition migrations
  • Provide support for standard computing platforms and devices
  • Respond to, identify, research, and resolve telephone calls, email, and requests for technical support.
  • Execute the technology refreshment program for IT assets
  • Collaborate with Patch Engineer and Cybersecurity to identify, patch, and update IT assets as needed
  • Work with the team to manage inventory of IT assets. This includes assisting in the procurement, shipping, and receiving, baseline configuration, physical placement, collection, and preparation for disposal of the assets
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with desktop equipment including, but not limited to, computer hardware, software and peripherals, and other IT communications equipment
  • Conduct moves, adds, and changes (MACs) when requested by end users
  • Work on special projects delegated by IT Manager and Team Leaders
  • Must be able to work in fast-paced, 24x7 environment

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Information Technology with 3+ years of relevant work experience or 5+ years of relevant professional experience in end user IT support services
  • Experience with managing customer expectations and delivering the highest level of quality customer service
  • Comprehensive knowledge of laptop hardware is essential, including identifying and replacing faulty components such as RAM, storage drives, display assemblies, keyboards, and batteries
  • Diagnosing hardware failures, performing upgrades, and understanding the interaction between hardware and operating systems to optimize device performance and reliability
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 Suite
  • Demonstrated experience with Windows 11 operating systems
  • Assist in basic network troubleshooting, including identifying connectivity issues
  • Demonstrate knowledge of TCP/IP protocols, and basic router and switch operation
  • Oversee the setup, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of network copiers across all offices, ensuring seamless integration with IT systems and secure, reliable document workflows for employees
  • Demonstrated understanding of Microsoft Azure cloud services
  • Experience with Microsoft Intune for mobile device management
  • Familiarity with Apple iOS, Android platforms, and corresponding hardware
  • Perform computer imaging and deployment using PXE (Preboot Execution Environment) and Microsoft Autopilot, ensuring devices are set up efficiently and securely for new users and system refreshes
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 45 lbs. (file boxes, computer printer)
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • Travel required (11-20 weeks per year)

Desired Qualifications/Skills:

  • CompTIA A+ certification or equivalent is highly desirable
  • Experienced with conference room technologies, including video conferencing systems, projectors, audio-visual equipment, and collaborative meeting platforms
  • Dell certification
  • Knowledge of Federal and State employment law and self-insured benefits plans considered an asset
  • Ability to manage confidential information with discretion
  • Apple macOS configurations and troubleshooting
  • Proven ability to handle high workloads in a fast-paced environment
