Overview

WHO are we looking for?

 

CAPTRUST is looking for a Senior Director of Integration to be responsible for leading the end-to-end integration of acquired firms into CAPTRUST’s operational, cultural, and strategic framework. This role is critical to ensure that each acquisition enhances the firm’s value proposition while preserving the client experience and employee engagement. This role will oversee a team of integration professionals, manage cross-functional initiatives, and serve as a key liaison between acquired firms and internal stakeholders. The ideal candidate will bring deep experience in mergers and acquisitions (M&A) integration, strong cross-functional leadership, exceptional project management capabilities, the ability to navigate complexity with empathy and precision, along with a deep understanding of the RIA industry.

Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership | Cross-Functional Execution | Team & Stakeholder Management 

Project Management | Process Optimization | On-Site Engagement

 

  • Lead the firm-wide integration strategy for newly acquired firms, ensuring alignment with CAPTRUST’s long-term growth objectives and cultural values
  • Serve as the primary liaison between acquired firms and internal stakeholders, fostering trust and transparency throughout the integration lifecycle
  • Lead on-site integration efforts during key phases to support onboarding, training, and cultural assimilation, with frequent travel as needed
  • Oversee multiple integration projects concurrently, from due diligence through post-close execution, ensuring timely and effective delivery
  • Partner with senior leaders across operations, technology, HR, compliance, marketing, and finance to align resources and drive seamless transitions
  • Build and lead a high-performing integration team, promoting collaboration, accountability, and continuous development
  • Provide regular updates to executive leadership on integration progress, risks, and outcomes, ensuring visibility and alignment at all levels
  • Champion cultural alignment and change management initiatives to support employee engagement, retention, and one unified practice
  • Identify, implement, and refine best practices, systems, and workflows to scale integration capabilities and support increasing acquisition volume
  • Ensure continuity of advisory services, client support and operational excellence throughout the integration process
  • Facilitate effective documentation and handoffs to business units’ post-integration to ensure long-term success

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business, Finance, or related field; MBA is a plus
  • 10+ years of experience in financial services, with a strong background in M&A integration or strategic operations 

Desired Qualifications/Skills:

  • Deep knowledge of the RIA/Wealth Management industry, including regulatory, operational, and client service dynamics
  • Proven ability to lead complex, cross-functional projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with financial technology platforms (e.g., CRM, portfolio management systems, etc.) is a plus
