Overview

WHO are we looking for?

 

CAPTRUST is seeking an Accounts Payable Associate who will be responsible for processing vendor invoices and payments along with assisting in expense report processing.  The AP Associate should have good communication skills as they will work closely with all employees and with outside vendors.  As part of the Finance Team, you will be able to impact efficiency and to provide ideas for process improvements.  Our ideal candidate will have Concur experience and will be comfortable working with others.  He/She/They will maintain the highest professional and ethical standards, be well-organized, service-oriented, collaborative, and accountable while performing under tight deadlines. Primary responsibilities may include the following, among others:

Responsibilities

  • Full-Cycle Invoice Processing: Manage the full cycle of accounts payable, including the timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices, employee expense reports, and other payment requests
  • Verification and Approval: Review invoices and payment requests for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies. Obtain necessary approvals and ensure proper documentation is maintained
  • Vendor Management: Maintain vendor relationships, including communication regarding invoice discrepancies, payment inquiries, and account reconciliation
  • Payment Processing: Prepare and process vendor payments via check, ACH, wire transfer, or other payment methods. Ensure payments are processed in accordance with payment terms and deadlines
  • Account Reconciliation: Reconcile accounts payable transactions and vendor statements to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements to streamline accounts payable processes, enhance efficiency, and strengthen internal controls

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting
  • 1 to 3 years of accounting experience required

Desired Qualifications/Skills:

  • Intermediate level experience with Microsoft products specifically Excel/PowerPoint
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Self-starter and can prioritize and re-prioritize with little supervision
  • Detail oriented
