CAPTRUST is seeking a dynamic Associate | Relationship Management who will deliver high-level service to the firm. The Associate plays a critical role in delivering high-quality client experience by managing client onboarding, supporting financial planning, and ensuring seamless execution of service and operational workflows. This position allows lead advisors to focus on strategy, relationship management, and business development while the Associate owns the execution of day-to-day client processes. A competitive salary is offered for this role as well as expanding responsibilities with a rapidly growing firm. This opportunity is for our Brentwood, TN, office.

Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities:

 

Client Onboarding & Data Management

  • Lead the onboarding process for new clients, including distributing client profiles and document requests, managing secure document upload portals, and tracking outstanding items
  • Ensure all client data is complete, organized, and ready for planning

Financial Planning Support

  • Prepare and maintain core planning inputs, including balance sheets, cash flow data, and assumptions
  • Generate draft planning analyses, including scenario modeling and Monte Carlo outputs
  • Assist advisors with ongoing updates and refinements to client financial plans

Client Deliverables & Presentation Materials

  • Compile and package planning outputs into polished, client-ready deliverables
  • Maintain consistent templates and presentation standards
  • Support advisors in preparing materials for client meetings and proposals

Client Communication & Coordination

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for routine client communication, including scheduling, document follow-ups, and general requests
  • Maintain secure communication threads and ensure timely responses
  • Track next steps and ensure follow-through on all client action items

Account Opening & Operational Support

  • Coordinate account setup and onboarding processes, including Schwab account opening, transfers, banking links, and paperwork completion
  • Work with custodians and internal teams to ensure timely execution

CRM & Process Management

  • Maintain accurate and organized client records in CRM and shared systems
  • Manage client files, notes, and documentation
  • Track pipeline status across prospects, onboarding, and active clients

Meeting Preparation & Follow-Up

  • Prepare materials and agendas for client meetings
  • Capture meeting notes and action items
  • Ensure timely execution of post-meeting deliverables and follow-ups

Proposal & New Business Support

  • Assist advisors in preparing materials for prospect and proposal meetings
  • Gather and organize data required for customized recommendations
  • Ensure all materials are prepared and delivered on time

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field required or equivalent work experience
  • 1–4+ years of experience in wealth management, financial planning, or a related field
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.

Desired Qualifications/Skills:

  • Progress toward or interest in the CFA® or CFP® designation.
  • Experience with financial planning software and CRM systems.
  • Familiarity with Schwab or custodial platforms.
  • Client-focused mindset with strong communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and workflows simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proactive and detail-oriented approach to execution.
